Whats New 2025

In version 2025, existing features have been enhanced and improved, and new features have been added. Additionally, various bugs have been fixed as always.

.NET 8.0 Migration​

Since Inventor 2025, Autodesk has migrated the .NET Framework to the latest version 8.0. Multitool also supports the new .NET Framework 8.0 in the new version, but it remains compatible with older frameworks for versions earlier than 2025.

Licensing​

The licensing system has been changed to allow multiple MuM apps to be used simultaneously.

Quick Insert​

The Quick Insert function has been further developed. The component preview can now also be placed under the component browser via the context menu. Furthermore, the entire user interface has been redesigned, and some bugs have been fixed.

PDF Settings​

A dedicated dialog for PDF settings has been implemented. This way, the settings are saved across sessions.

Different Export Paths​

In this version, it is possible to define the path specification for individual export configurations. You can choose between global or overridden path settings. This function is implemented for PDF, STEP, DWG, DXF, and DXF unfolding export functions.

Correct Settings Tab Opening​

In some functions, the settings call has been redirected directly to the appropriate tab.

Overwrite Option for DXF Unfolding​

Similar to other export functions, the overwrite option for existing files with the same name has been implemented in the DXF unfolding export function.

Bug Fixes​

As every year, we have also made various bug fixes. This list is not exhaustive, and many other bug fixes have been made in interim releases. It is always worth keeping the Multitool up to date.

  • Fixed issue with setup and network settings
  • PDF export settings did not respect the set path
  • Cleaning of worksheets - error with creating sheet copies
  • Virtual component caused an error when invalid material was used
  • The iProperties manage dialog height has been adjusted
  • Fixed issue with thread in hole favorites not being correctly transferred to the new hole
